Myanmar's leader has ordered Aung San Suu Kyi to house arrest five years a
after she was swept into detention in a February 2021 coup.

A statement from President Min Aung Hlaing said he had commuted the remain
remaining sentence of Suu Kyi and shared a photograph that appeared to sho
show her sitting and flanked by two men.

It is unclear where she will be moved, but a senior source told her dissolv
dissolved National League for Democracy (NLD) party that she was likely to
remain sequestered at an address in the capital Naypyitaw.

The official statement did not make clear how many years remained in Suu Ky
Kyi's sentence.
