During his visit, Sen. Go met with Benvienido Duran, a native of Santander, Cebu, who sustained injuries in the fire. Moved by his story, the senator offered assistance for his medical treatment and personally gave him a pair of shoes. He also spoke with Nelba Gavisan, another fire victim battling colon and ovarian cancer, expressing his commitment to help secure medical support for her treatment.

Relief Operation and Long-Term Support

The relief operation was carried out in coordination with local officials, including Mayor Tiangco, Vice Mayor Tito Sanchez, and City Councilors Clint Geronimo, Lance Santiago, and Migi Naval. Sen. Go acknowledged the support of Navotas Rep. Tobias Tiangco. His team distributed essential items such as food packs, snacks, vitamins, water containers, shirts, electric fans, fruits, and children's toys, as well as financial assistance to affected families.

He highlighted his legislative efforts, including Republic Act 12076 (the Ligtas Pinoy Centers Act), which he principally authored and co-sponsored, mandating the construction of permanent, disaster-resilient evacuation centers nationwide.

He called for greater accountability in public spending, lamenting the misuse of funds intended for flood control projects. Sen. Go stressed that political divisions only delay much-needed assistance for vulnerable Filipinos. He highlighted RA 11589, or the Bureau of Fire Protection Modernization Act of 2021, which aims to enhance firefighters' operational capability through modern equipment and training.
