David Rivera has been found guilty of lobbying for Venezuela. The former F
Florida congressman faces up to five years in prison after being convicted
on charges of defrauding the United States, conspiracy, and lying to the FB
FBI. He was also accused of using his congressional position to get a job w
with the Venezuelan government.

Rivera, 52, served as a member of Congress from 2011 until he was defeated
by Rep. Joe Garcia in 2012. He worked for the Maduro regime before joining
them as a lobbyist after being ejected from politics. He is scheduled to be
be sentenced on August 23rd and faces up to five years in prison.

This conviction demonstrates that no one is above the law, not even former
members of Congress. We must hold our leaders accountable if they choose to
to break it. This verdict sends an important message to those who would try
try to use their position for personal gain - you will be held responsible
for your actions!

Enjoy the little things in life. For one day, you may look back and realize they were the big things. Many of life's failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up.
