Ex-US lawmaker convicted of lobbying for Venezuela
David Rivera has been found guilty of lobbying for Venezuela. The former F[1D[K
Florida congressman faces up to five years in prison after being convicted [K
on charges of defrauding the United States, conspiracy, and lying to the FB[2D[K
FBI. He was also accused of using his congressional position to get a job w[1D[K
with the Venezuelan government.
Rivera, 52, served as a member of Congress from 2011 until he was defeated [K
by Rep. Joe Garcia in 2012. He worked for the Maduro regime before joining [K
