Washington Post CEO out after sweeping job cuts

The news that Amazon founder Jeff Bezos is buying The Washington Post has many people talking about the future of newspapers and media companies in general.
It's not every day that you read a story like this one. In fact, it may be the first time since Rupert Murdoch purchased News Corp. in 1985.
What makes this so interesting to me? Well, for starters, Bezos says he plans on keeping all current employees; that is impressive given how hard newspapers have been hit by declines in advertising revenue over recent years and even more severe cuts being made today due to economic conditions caused by COVID19 pandemic
So what does it mean for us as readers who love the newspaper? Well, I think it means we should be excited because we will get some fresh ideas coming into our lives soon enough.
