As one of the PVL's most promising young setters, Nxled rookie playmaker Jules Tolentino is not resting on her early success and is driven to reach her full potential.

From Championship Run to Unstoppable Force

Following her pivotal role in Petro Gazz's championship run in the Reinforced Conference last year, the 11th overall pick of the 2025 PVL Rookie Draft could have rested on her achievements. Instead, she pushes herself relentlessly every day, fueled by an unwavering determination to become the best version of herself.

Precision and Flair

That drive was on full display when she led Nxled to a commanding sweep of Cignal in the battle of unbeaten teams in the 2026 PVL All-Filipino Conference. With precision and flair, Tolentino tallied 19 excellent sets and five points from two attacks, two kill blocks, and an ace, guiding the Chameleons to a thrilling 25-19, 25-22, 27-25 victory over the Super Spikers.

Balanced Attack

The former De La Salle University standout also distributed the wealth, with Brooke Van Sickle and MJ Phillips each notching 14 points, Myla Pablo adding 12, and Lyann de Guzman contributing nine markers to Nxled's balanced attack.

PVL Player of the Week

For her efforts, Tolentino was named the PVL Press Corps Player of the Week presented by Pilipinas Live for the period of February 10-14.

I just keep telling myself to work hard, and whether we win or lose, my attitude remains the same, said the 23-year-old setter. I'm grateful for how things are going, but I'm not complacent. Every day, I want to push myself because I want to reach my highest potential.

Vertiginous Growth

Tolentino credits much of her growth to the guidance of veteran teammates, whose experience and advice have been invaluable in her continuous development.

I'm thankful to my ates; they're really used to those kinds of situations, so they really stepped up in the last points. I'm really happy that I'm playing with veterans, she said.

As Jules Tolentino continues to evolve and grow as a player, it's clear that her determination to reach her full potential will propel her on a vertiginous journey towards greatness.
