lessons learned from panama deal that allowed us to deploy troops to canal
A few weeks ago, I wrote about the Panama Papers scandal and how that affected the relationship between America and Panama. Recently, we have seen some positive movement in terms of our relations with this country. The Panamanian government has signed an agreement allowing US military forces to transit through the Panama Canal.
This is a big win for the United States as it gives us strategic flexibility when facing conflicts in the future. It also shows how one small change can have a huge impact on your life. Here are some lessons learned from this deal
1) Be proactive Don't wait until something bad happens before you do anything about it. Take action now so that you're prepared for whatever comes next.
2) Think outside the box There are many ways to solve problems, but sometimes we get stuck thinking only one way is possible. Try different approaches until you find what works best for you.
3) Make friends Networking is important! Meeting new people and making connections with them can help advance your career or personal life in unexpected ways.
4) Have fun Life is too short to be taken seriously all the time. Enjoy yourself and relax once in awhile.
5) Be humble No matter how smart or successful you are, there's always someone smarter or more successful than you. Stay grounded by acknowledging their achievements instead of competing with them.
These five lessons were learned through my experience working on a project related to the Panama Canal. I hope they'll be helpful for others as well.
