The District Attorney's office has not yet decided whether they will seek the death penalty for Nick. We will be considering all aggravating and mitigating circumstances, said DA Nathan Hochman.

Nick's former attorney, high-profile private lawyer Alan Jackson, had previously withdrawn from the case due to unforeseen circumstances. While he maintained that Nick is innocent of murder, he did not elaborate on his reasoning.

The investigation into the murders remains ongoing, with Deputy District Attorney Habib Balian stating that all other evidence has been turned over to the defense, and a full autopsy report is pending.
