QC Black Bulls Eyeing Greatness One Game at a Time in MPBL

The Quezon City Black Bulls are gearing up for an exciting eighth season of
of the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL), which kicks off on Apr
April 10. After finishing with a promising 4-4 win-loss slate in the presea
preseason, the team is looking to make a statement in the professional leag
league.

Aiming High

Team owner John Christopher Tan expressed his gratitude to Quezon City 1st 
District Rep. Juan Carlos Arjo Atayde for discovering top players from th
the city's homegrown talent pool. Tan praised the young lawmaker and actor 
for hosting the D1 League, which has helped develop efficient talents from 
Quezon City and Gardner College.

We're incredibly proud of all the players who played in the D1 League, and
and we're thrilled that we discovered them, Tan said. Most of them have s
studied at Gardner College, and they've shown everyone that they're capable
capable of playing at a high level competitive pro league.

Tan emphasized that the team aims to prove themselves ready for the MPBL, o
one game at a time. I think this is the right time to aim for greatness an
and prove ourselves ready for the MPBL, he said.

Expectations

When asked what his expectations are from the team, Tan replied, I expect 
them to give their all, 100 percent, one game at a time, both offensively a

The Black Bulls will be led by rising head coach Jayv Olea.

features 6-foot-6 Jeff Morillo, Aldave Canoy, playmaker Ryan Costelo, Clark

Joe Benzon Joven, Bryan Rosalin, Charles dela Cruz, Josh Roque, former Blac

Clarification

Team owner John Christopher Tan clarified that Rep. Atayde does not own the
the team's franchise in the MPBL but has been instrumental in developing lo
local talent through his D1 Basketball League program. We'd like to clarif
clarify that Cong. Atayde is not a franchise team owner, but most of the ho
homegrown players from Quezon City came from his grassroots sports programs
programs, Tan said. I'm the team owner, and we're grateful for his suppor
support in providing opportunities for local athletes.

Atayde is also supporting other sports in the city, including volleyball an
and fencing.
