...we will create local job opportunities and raise the prices of de-husked nuts used for processing... Coconut farmers' cooperatives can expect to see their income increase by up to 22 percent, while individual farmers could see an increase of 10 percent per hectare.

The event was attended by Marinduque Gov. Presbitero Velasco, who described the project as a dream come true for the province and reaffirmed the provincial government's full support in sustaining the facility.
