ACCESSIBLE TECHNOLOGY DESIGNERS 'CANOODLE' THEIR WORK THROUGH MINNESOTANS' WELCOME OF IMMIGRATION SURGE DRAWDOWN BUT REMAIN VIGILANT
According to reports, the Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) and the state's Accessible Technology Program are working together on a project that aims to make IT jobs more accessible for Minnesotans with disabilities.
This collaboration is part of an ongoing initiative by DHS and other groups to increase employment opportunities for people with disabilities in the state.
The project, which is being led by the Minnesota Governor's Council on Developmental Disabilities (MGCDD), will focus on creating new job training programs and developing resources that can be used by businesses throughout Minnesota.
This work is expected to help create more than 1,000 jobs for individuals with disabilities over the next few years.
This collaboration between DHS and other groups is crucial to our efforts to increase employment opportunities for people with disabilities in Minnesota, said Governor Mark Dayton (DFL-Minneapolis). By working together we can ensure that all Minnesotans have access to good-paying jobs regardless of their abilities.
