The City Engineering Department (CED) noted that the project also includes the modernization of floodgates and improvements in drainage systems along the pumping station's vicinity. These enhancements will further reduce the risk of flooding in the area.

Rosete emphasized the importance of community cooperation (bayanihan) in responding to calamities like flooding. The mayor has been urging the city folk to continue practicing community cooperation ('bayanihan') to help one another during calamities, as the local government will always be available to provide assistance and support, Rosete said.
