Gaza Humanitarian response ongoing despite restrictions

Although significant restrictions and impediments persist, humanitarian efforts in Gaza are working diligently to respond to the population's needs.

As part of these efforts, crucial supplies are offloaded at border crossings daily. On Monday alone, nearly 4,000 pallets were unloaded, with around 65% containing food supplies. Teams also carry out planned collections from Kerem Shalom crossing and other missions in areas where coordination with Israeli authorities is not required.

Moreover, partners distributed over 2,000 winterization kits to children aged 12-14 years, expanding classroom space for nearly 25,000 children. Additionally, mine action partners continue inspecting key areas for potential explosive hazards.

In the West Bank, more than 72,000 families who rely on agriculture urgently require assistance due to sharp declines in both crop and livestock production as well as sales. Around 115,000 families depend on agriculture for their livelihoods, highlighting its importance to food security and income.

In conclusion, Gaza continues to face significant challenges in accessing humanitarian aid despite ongoing efforts to respond to the population's needs. Meanwhile, agricultural families in the West Bank urgently require assistance due to widespread settler violence, a deepening economic crisis, and near-ubiquitous loss of income.
