Mexico's Massive Oil Spill Environmentalists Accuse Government of Lying
The largest marine wildlife disaster since the Deepwater Horizon explosion in the Gulf of Mexico occurred this past weekend. The spill has released at least 150,000 tons of crude oil into the water near the coast of Mexico, making it one of the top ten biggest spills on record.
Despite government claims that the spill originated from a drilling platform, environmental groups assert that the origin of the oil is from an underwater pipeline leak, and they accuse the government of lying to cover up their misdeeds.
